Your PROfile Pharmacist may ask if you would like to be enrolled in this free service if you are prescribed a medication contained on our list of available programs.
This service may provide you with:
- Information on the medication you are taking, including proper use and what you should expect from your therapy.
- Lifestyle changes to help you feel better such as diet, exercise or stress relief.
- Explanations of the disease or condition being treated.
Telephone Follow-up
When a new prescription is picked up, your PROfile Pharmacist will counsel you on the proper way to take it, how the medication works, expectations, side effects, etc.
Follow-up calls are performed by your PROfile Pharmacist in order to reinforce these points, monitor the effectiveness of the therapy, and answer or address any further questions or concerns. The calls are made in a time period depending on the therapy. Calls may coincide with a doctor’s appointment or a blood test, if that information is available.
